A modern campus requires an investment that is bold, (and even expensive) but each project element is strategic and designed for the exponential growth of our vision. The reimagined campus will be a balanced mix of buildings and technology, as the world becomes ever more digital. Every new and renovated space will be infused with technology to connect Prairie to its global community of students and alumni, and position every Prairie program in the top 25% of similar programs worldwide!

Take a journey with us now into the reimagined, Prairie College!

Phase 1 goal of $50 million is all about Student Life, which includes:

  • Building a new Student Residence.

  • Converting the Oasis into new Dining Room and updating the current Kitchen.

  • Renovating the current Dining Hall into a new Auditorium.

  • Connecting these facilities with a beautiful new concourse.

  • Expanding the Prairie Aviation Training Centre to double its capacity.

  • Growing our Scholarship Fund and Program Development Fund.

What our Alumni and Students have to say:

We are grateful to offer many options for giving to Prairie. Click on the method of giving that works best for you. All donations greater than $10.00 will receive an official receipt for income tax purposes. Prairie is qualified to issue Canadian and American tax receipts.

Interact e-Transfers are only available for owners of a Canadian bank account. This may be a good option in lieu of mailing in a cheque or a credit card payment (with a processing fee).

When you request to make an e-transfer, ALL these pieces of information MUST be included on the “Message”/ “Memo” section of the transfer:

  1. That this is a donation;
  2. Indicate which fund the donation is to go towards (Note: if no fund is specified the default is  the General Fund);
  3. Your name, either person or organization. This is for tracking and receipting purposes.

For an example of the e-transfer process, click here.

Notes:

  • The email address to be used is finance@prairie.edu. If it is sent to an individual at the college, the e-transfer will not be accepted.

  • For the security question, please use one suggested in the example screenshot as it will help us accept the gift. If you do another security question, please email finance@prairie.edu to notify them of the question and answer you’ve used.

  • E-Transfers cannot be used for recurring donations. If you wish to set up a recurring donation, please see “Donate as a Recurring Gift” or alternatively call the Development Department on 403-443-5511 Ext 282.

Gift in Kind Giving

Do you have a tangible asset (real estate or physical property) that you no longer need or you think would enhance Prairie’s program?  Rather than sell the asset you could gift it.  Prairie would be able to issue you a tax donation receipt for the sale value of the property or value determined by a qualified third-party appraisal.  There are some ‘hoops to jump through’ and Canada Revenue Agency rules to follow, but we’ve done it before and would be happy to guide you through the process.

Memorial Gift

Donate in Memory of your Loved One

Thank you for honouring your loved one by choosing to make a donation to Prairie College. You can make your donation to the College using one of these options:

Donation via Cheque:

  1. Write your cheque in the name of ‘Prairie Bible Institute’ or ‘Prairie College’
  2. In the memo line, add “IMO” and then the name of the loved one you would like to honor.
  3. If you have a specific designation for your donation. E.g. Capital Fund, Scholarships and Education Fund, please also list this in the memo line. If you have no specific designation, you can either name the ‘Centennial Campaign’ (which is the name of our ‘General Fund’), or not specify any fund here.
  4. If your cheque does not list your First and Last names and your postal address, please include a short note with these details so we can properly receipt your donation.
  5. Enclose your cheque in an envelope addressed to:
    Prairie College
    PO Box 4000
    Three Hills, AB T0M 2N0
    Canada

Donation via the College’s Website:

  1. On the Donate page, look for the Yellow buttons for donating in either Canadian funds or American funds. Select the button appropriate to your location. If you are outside either Canada and America, please use the Canadian option.
  2. If you have a specific designation for your donation, please choose from the drop-down-menu on the “ Select a Fund” category. If you don’t have a specific designation, the ‘Centennial Campaign’ Fund is listed first, and is the name of our ‘General Fund’.
  3. Complete the rest of the online donation form.
  4. Before completing your donation by clicking on the “Make Donation” button at the very bottom of the screen, please add in the “Comment (optional)” section. “IMO” and then the name of the loved one you would like to honor. Also in the comment section, add your First and Last names and your postal address so we can properly receipt your donation.
